Dresden Surprise Arrived

I just got home from our 3 day quilt crawl which was lots of shopping, fun and more shopping. The first thing I noticed was a squishy parcel with my name on it.

I quickly opened it to see what was in it and I nearly buckled at the knees.

Cheryl from Cherylsstitching blog has made a gorgeous Dresden table runner in the most delicious French General fabrics, ....which by the way are my favourite fabrics.. he he..and yummy easter chocolates and maltesers which i am munching on as I type........    :-)

Thank you so very much Cheryl for such a wonderful gift as part of our F.H.F.S. I will always treasure it.

Happy stitching..........

To Mel from Shez

For our first FHFS we did a dresden plate project and my partner to send to was the lovely Mel.
So this was a challenge for me as i have never done a dresden plate before and they had me rather scared, but once i got going i quite enjoyed making them.
I sent Mel a dresden plate table topper and a glass jar with it own personal reversible cover and a coffee table book which i forgot to take a pic of.
Mel has contacted me to let me know that she loves her parcel so that makes me happy too.
This is the reversible vase cover which is a Lisa Pyke design of cubbyhouse and is in homespun mag no 96 vol 12.5 and i have made this a few times now and love this pattern,i must make some for me.
I have really enjoyed this swap, our next one is a tilda swap,so i had better get started, lol.
cheers shez xx

My Lovely Dredsen Arrived!

Yum and double Yum! Pretty parcels arrived on my doorstep from our lovely Christine
Inside...
A gorgeous table centre with a beautifully stitched centre. I adore the fabrics! Christine also spoiled me with chokkie, threads and the sweetest china tag with a bluebird on it ( you know how I love a tag and birdies)
The centre looks lovely in my little sitting room.
Doesn't it look beautiful. Thank you and big hugs Christine. I am just thrilled with my lovely gifts. It will be lovely to think of you when I curl up here with my coffee and look at my table centre.
Thanks to Peg and Shez for all your hard work in organising this lovely swap.
Blessings Michelle xxx

Our dear Fiona listed Brussel Sprouts on her dislikes along with a comment that she should be safe there.

My Dresden Swap Received

Hi this is what I made and sent to Shez my partner for my first swap. The fabric panels are called Olivia by Michele D'Amore. The linen look texture is just gorgeous. The range is in a sun-washed vintage rose blush. The Dresden's are mostly French General fabrics. I just received a message from Shez to say she has the parcel so I can show you what I made for her.

My First Swap Has Arrived!

Thanks to our lovely Keryn, I have received some gorgeous swap items.
The Dresden plate took the form of this delightful pin cushion.
Absolutely beautiful! Such precise sewing!
And then there was this little cutie.
She is totally adorable.
And there's more!
Lovely Easter treats, fabric, tape measure and pins for the pin cushion.
Thank you so much, Keryn.
You have gone over and above with this lovely parcel.
I feel very, very lucky.

WHAT I MADE.

How lucky was I my partner was the wonderful Karen and I made her this..
But as usual I packed the box without taking photos.  But Karen has done a really lovely post if you would like to see the rest. So Dresden tick, Tilda tick (just hope that doesn't get lost in the move)!!
